It is the policy of Zeagle Energy Limited to operate vehicles in a safe, efficient and effective manner and to minimize risks to employees and others affected by our operations.
The Admin and Head of Operations are responsible for ensuring that:
- Local rules are published for driving at work activities and communicated to all drivers and all staff of the company.
- There is a mechanism in place to ensure that all staff needing to drive company owned, leased or hired vehicles have relevant authorization.
- There is a system in place to ensure that any company vehicle is maintained in a roadworthy condition and complies with legal requirements.
Staff are responsible for ensuring that they:
- Hold the appropriate driving license entitlement.
- Are medically fit to drive.
- Inform their line manager immediately of any motoring convictions (including penalty points) or periods of disqualification.
- Do not use a hand-held mobile phone whilst driving.
- Comply with the legislation regarding the wearing of seatbelts whilst driving and make every effort to enforce the wearing of seatbelts for adult passengers in their vehicles.
- Are satisfied that prior to any journey on company business that the vehicle they are driving is fit for its purpose and roadworthy.
- Inform the Head of operations or Admin of the vehicle if they become aware of any faults.
- Report any accidents or incidents whilst driving on company business.
- Comply with any company rules and risk assessment requirements for driving at work activities and follow the company Journey Management Plan strictly.
